Dr. Laura Broughton holds the Bachelor of Music, Master of Music, and Doctor of Musical Arts.  She has served three terms as president of the Hattiesburg Music Teachers League (HMTL), and also served as the chair of the 2021 HMTL Composer Festival.  Currently, she serves the HMTL as Spring Concert Chair and Publicity Chair. 

Dr. Broughton holds Permanent Professional Certification in Piano from Music Teachers National Association and is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music (NCTM).  She teaches all ages of students from 4 years of age to retirees.
